That’s why we’ve created a dedicated training centre that offers everything you will need to comfortably and effectively learn with us, whether you are an existing installer or are looking to enter the industry.

We provide realistic training scenarios and practical hands-on training in our fully equipped facility in Guildford, Surrey. Our knowledgeable and expert trainers have all gained experience working in the industry for decades, ready to transfer their knowledge, know-how and expertise to delegates.

HETAS Courses

HETAS Training Courses are designed to cover safe, efficient and reliable appliance installation in accordance with the relevant regulations. They are suitable for installers, service engineers, chimney sweeps, specifiers and building control officers. Poujoulat UK currently offers the following HETAS courses which can be booked online.

H003DS HETAS: Dry Installer Appliances Defined Scope (practically assessed) 

This HETAS course is for candidates who have relevant experience within the construction industry, including allied trades such as plumbing and heating installers. A training certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course, enabling the candidate to apply for registration with HETAS on the competent person's registration scheme for the installation of dry appliances.

H003R HETAS:  Refresher Dry Installer

This HETAS refresher course is available to any person who has previously completed the H003DS course. This course is suitable for HETAS registrants who wish to maintain registration and are required to complete refresher training every 5 years. Refresher training is a mandatory requirement for all competent person schemes.

NB: The refresher course can only be sat within 12 months of registration course expiration.

H004 (H004R) HETAS: Wet Appliances Installer

This course is suitable for candidates with plumbing & heating qualifications who have successfully completed the H003 or H003DS.

The H004R refresher course is available to any person who has previously completed a HETAS course. Refresher training is a mandatory requirement for all competent person schemes.

H006 (H006R) HETAS: System Chimneys

This course is suitable for candidates who have successfully completed the H003/H003 DS or H005 course. This is a one-day bolt on to the H003/H003 DS or H005 courses and can be taken at the same time or at a later date.

The H006R refresher course is available to any person who has previously completed a HETAS course. Refresher training is a mandatory requirement for all competent person schemes.

H008 HETAS: Dry Pellet Appliance Installer  

This course is suitable for candidates who have successfully completed the H003 course and wish to expand their knowledge to include the installation of automated dry pellet stove appliances. 

H009 HETAS: Service & Maintenance

This course is ideal for businesses with relevant experience who don’t wish to undertake installation work; including stove retailers, 
chimney sweeps, allied trades (e.g. plumbing/heating installers), maintenance operatives and housing associations.

H009S HETAS: Sweeping Module

This course is suitable for operatives who currently carry out sweeping activities, to demonstrate through knowledge and practical assessment, their suitability to join the HETAS Sweep & Service Scheme for sweeping solid fuel appliances.

H010 HETAS: Installation Small Craft

This course is ideal for businesses with relevant experience who don’t wish to undertake installation work; including stove retailers, 
chimney sweeps, allied trades (e.g. plumbing/heating installers), maintenance operatives and housing associations.

H011 HETAS: Sweeping Course

This course is suitable for candidates wanting to learn how to sweep a chimney, and undertake servicing and maintenance but do not wish to undertake installation work.
